My Approach

CanTalk Cancer Counselling provides personalised support to people affected by cancer. Sue understands the practical challenges faced by clients and creates a safe space for them to talk about their mental health. The counselling sessions are tailored to the client’s needs and offer a collaborative approach to ensure they receive the best possible support.

My office is a quiet room overlooking a garden located in Cashmere, Christchurch. If you are unable to make it into the office, I offer video consults and phone counselling.

I have had a lifetime working with people who have been affected by cancer. I understand many of the practicalities faced by clients and I have many skills to support you. With me, you will always feel seen, heard and supported.

FAQs

  • This session is an assessment where I explain more about counselling/therapy and I ask you to share your current situation and what brings you to counselling. Together we agree on your therapy goals.

  • The first session is usually 60 – 75mins. Sessions after that are generally 50 minutes long.

  • I offer face-to-face sessions from my home, video consults and telephone. Where possible I like to meet people face-to-face at least once.

  • All sessions are $130. These are payable by internet banking or cash on the day of your appointment.
